Strides of Progress

We at FORUDEF are currently in a busy period, and this is encouraging because it means that much meaningful work is taking place. Our work with the PNDP project (a joint venture between the Cameroon government and World Bank to strengthen grass-roots responses to poverty) is coming to a close, but there are still some reports to be completed and some final details to take of. It has been a rewarding project to be a part of, and we have gained much valuable experience as an organization through this endeavour.

We continue to work on the malaria awareness and prevention program in Akwaya, and we are also very busy promoting our micro-finance program, with the aim of spurring on local innovation and sustainable economic initiatives at a grassroots level in the local communities.

Lastly, we are happy to report that our nutrition program will be expanding into more local villages, and that many more communities will be empowered with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain a healthy diet. We currently have a project posted on Global Giving’s webpage, and we are excited and encouraged by the continued support we receive from concerned individuals who believe in reaching out to change the world around them. We hope to have full funding for this project within the next few weeks, and we are eager to help local communities improve their quality of life through healthy diets.
